Srinagar, 22nd May 2023: Jammu and Kashmir is all set to host the third tourism working group for the G20 countries in Srinagar today.
This marks the first international event since the revocation of its special status and statehood in 2019. The excitement in the air is palpable with the entire city of Srinagar decked up and lights illuminating the roads leading to Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center or SKICC, the venue for the G20 meeting.

This tourism meeting in Srinagar has so far received the highest number of participants when compared to its previous ones and also marks the presence of special delegates being invited.
The 60 delegates from G20 countries who are expected to mark their presence at the event are being ensured of the highest level of security, with marine commandos and national security guards also being deployed as a part of the security cover.
Thousands of troops from the Army, Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Jammu and Kashmir Police are part of the security grid and are strengthened with anti-drone units and traffic control measures.
