Buyers from across the world throng IHGF Delhi Fair – AUTUMN 2024 to source home, lifestyle, fashion, furnishing products

Delhi/NCR – 17th October 2024 – 58th IHGF Delhi Fair – AUTUMN 2024 is gaining momentum after a stupendous start. Buyer from various countries, brands and sourcing groups are visiting in large numbers. Stands featuring décor, houseware, furniture, fashion accessories, home textiles, as well as gifts and holiday decorations, both at the Marts and Halls, have been bustling with activity. With three more days ahead, the tone for the success of the fair is set.

K. K. Bishnoi, State Minister of Industry & Commerce, Youth Affairs & Sports, Skills, Planning & Entrepreneurship and Policy Making, Govt. of Rajasthan commended EPCH for the expansive fair with phenomenal exhibitor and buyer attendance. He also interacted with participants from Rajasthan, complimenting their product variety, designs and quality. He asserted the rich wood, metal, textile, leather and bone & horn craft heritage of the state to further boost participants’ morale.

Dr. Syed Zafar Islam, National Spokesperson – Political & Economic Affairs, Member BJP National Executive Committee and Ex Rajya Sabha MP on his visit congratulated EPCH for bringing glory to the nation and especially Uttar Pradesh, the state which accounts for the largest participation and product representation, and also hosts the fair. He met artisans, entrepreneurs and exporters from Moradabad – the biggest hub for handicrafts and also of other regions of the state.

Dileep Baid, Chairman, EPCH shared, “The 58th edition of our IHGF Delhi Fair –Autumn 2024 being held from 16th to 20th October 2024 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida Expressway, had a busy second day with buyers from several nations visiting, seminars offering insights on topics of significance to the Indian handicraft exports trade and ramp presentations enthusing many visitors. Craft making demonstrations by National Awardee crafts persons are gathering audience and well-appointed lounges at the fair are helping visitors unwind. Many first time international visitors are taking note of the scale of our sector and the dynamism of the manufacturers who collectively project ‘Brand India’ overseas. Some have also shared that EPCH’s all multi-faceted activities that many are yet unaware of, are well projected through the ‘EPCH World’ at the fair’s centre. ”

Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chief Mentor in a role of Director General, EPCH & Chairman, IEML said, “Our regular buyers as well as new visitors to the IHGF Delhi Fair family keep inspiring us to push our limits in terms of product display as well as comfortable environment to do business. Their valuable feedback has ignited capabilities and instilled confidence in exhibitors, especially the upcoming ones who are just starting out but show immense potential.”

Another buyer, Diane from Paris who is on her first visit shared, “My curiosity for beautiful Indian products, made me travel to this fair. I am from a company that aspires to offer great design pieces with character, honesty and beauty. I am specifically looking for home decor items like lamps and accent pieces. Indian products reflect the culture beautifully, with intricate craftsmanship and detailed handmade designs that truly stand out.”

Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Vice Chairman, EPCH, informed, “Regional craft skills beautifully manifested in deco-utility products alongside statement pieces are creating practical awareness about India’s heritage and the significance of seasonal natural derivatives found in abundance due to our varied topography. Each region tells many stories and our visitors are happy to pay attention as they are looking for exclusives.”

Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairman, EPCH informed, “Our seminars, led by domain experts, began today and will continue to provide insights, guidance, and valuable information on international compliance and export documentation. These sessions are beneficial not only for exporters but also for those in the early stages of launching their businesses.

R. K. Verma, Executive Director, EPCH, added, “Today’s session on ‘Strategic approach towards reaching out to overseas buyers’ organised by EPCH in association with Dun & Bradstreet, guided attendees on ways exporters can reach prospect buyers and establish connections; how various exporters can search for their prospect buyers; and sustainability and solutions for exporters to improve their rankings in a highly competitive international market. Another session on EU regulation on deforestation-free products (EUDR) helped explore the path forward for furniture and woodcraft manufacturers, through compliance, manufacturing practices and processes.”
