Greater Noida News (21/01/2026): Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB), District Gautam Budh Nagar, on Tuesday organised a seminar in association with the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and the District Labour Commissioner’s office, focusing on skill development, employment generation, and recent labour law reforms.

A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NIOS and LUB aimed at creating a skilled workforce tailored to industrial requirements. The initiative is expected to streamline skill certification processes and significantly reduce the dependence on multiple external boards for worker certification outside factory premises.

Addressing the gathering, LUB’s National General Secretary said the collaboration would help industries access trained and certified manpower, ensuring better compliance and productivity across sectors.

During the seminar, immediate confirmation was received for five Assessment and Verification Initiatives (AVI), while one LUB member announced plans to provide employment opportunities to nearly 1,000 workers, reflecting strong industry participation and commitment.

LUB’s Uttar Pradesh State Treasurer welcomed the initiative, stating that such steps would not only strengthen the industrial ecosystem but also contribute to national economic growth and support the broader vision of building a trillion-dollar economy.

The seminar also featured detailed presentations on the new labour codes. The District Labour Commissioner and the Deputy Director of Factories elaborated on key provisions, compliance requirements, and the implications of the reforms for industries and workers.

The District General Secretary of LUB urged members to actively submit their feedback and suggestions during the limited consultation window provided by the government before the official notification of the new labour codes.

Concluding the event, the District President of LUB, Gautam Budh Nagar, thanked the more than 400 members in attendance for their active participation, constructive discussions, and valuable inputs, which contributed to the success of the seminar.
