New Delhi: On Monday, Delhi Chief Minister staged a sit-in at the governor’s office, accusing Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and central investigation agencies of interference and stalling his government’s functioning.

Last night, Kejriwal and three members of his cabinet, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain and Gopal Rai met Baijal to make three demands.

First, end the IAS officers’ strike. Second, take “exemplary” action against officers who’ve “stalled work”. Third, approve doorstep delivery of rations.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday also announced that the AAP would campaign for the BJP during the 2019 Lok Sabha election if Delhi was granted full statehood.

The BJP on Tuesday hit back at Kejriwal for sit-in protest at the governor’s office, and accused it of making “baseless and irresponsible” allegations against the LG and BJP Government.

Addressing the Media, BJP leader Vijender Gupta said, “There is high drama by Arvind Kejriwal and his cabinet who met LG Anil Baijal and refused to leave until their demands were accepted. Sleeping in the plush air conditioned office of Delhi LG. All actors including Kejriwal have fattened their waistlines by eating home cooked food. The “so called dharna” can’t be done in a air conditioned room.”

He further said, “If kejriwal was serious, he should have raised it in Parliament through his MPs which is the right forum. but his real intent behind bringing it upon completion of three years and four months is to divert public attention from his misgovernance, incompetence and failures.”

“Kejriwal is doing drama and Aam Aadmi Government is nautanki party, they have failed completely and are just fooling people of Delhi,” added Gupta.
