Prashant Bhushan and Joshil K Abraham today did a press conference to expose various malpractices in GB Pant Government Engineering College. They have raised questions on present AAP government as well as previous Shiela Dixit government.
G B Pant Engineering College was set-up as a very ambitious project by the then CM Shiela Dixit. It was initially proposed to be an excellent university with state-of-art infrastructure, though as of now it even doesn’t have proper classroom and hostels.

Joshil K Abraham said that, “Many anomalies have emerged in the college and the campaign was started around 54 days back. On 30th March students went to secretariat but were forcefully sent back by police. RTI applications were denied and deputy CM refused to take note of the matter, let alone do an inquiry”.
Joshil K Abraham had started an indefinite hunger strike on 5th April. He was picked on tenth day of the strike and was admitted to AIIMS.
He also showed the video of Manish Sisodia speaking in the state assembly and said that, “Deputy CM was misleading the assembly by flouting the data about number of students in the university. He had talked of three thousand students whereas in reality there are only about 850 students in the institute”.
He also alleged that a lot of land of college was taken by a private party and yet no action is being taken in this regard.
He requested CM of Delhi to take onus of this and to take necessary action in this regard.
