Advanced signalling system to enable faster movement of trains between #Ghaziabad and #Kanpur

Indian Railways on Thursday commissioned a fully computerised state-of-the-art signalling system at Khurja junction in Uttar Pradesh, enabling faster movement of more than 250 trains between Ghaziabad and Kanpur section.

The upgradation will help in quicker movements of trains as the train path will now be cleared by a central operator with click of a mouse on the VDU (Visual Display Unit).

The VDU will display the position of each train at the 4.5 km long Khurja yard including adjoining track positions and help avoid train traffic disruption.
