The Air Passengers Association of India celebrates its 26th year along with the APAI Awards 2018 in Nation’s Capital at Hotel Shangri-La, Ashoka Road. Entire grand event was mesmerised by the presence of prominent personalities. The awards was presented by well known personalities like Shri Jayant Sinha , Honorable Minister of State for Civil Aviation , Shri K J Alphons, Honorable Minister of State ( Independent Charge) for Tourism and Shri C R Chaudhary , Honorable Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution.
Apart from the special award ceremony, a panel discussion was also done with the honorable ministers on the Future of Aviation and senior officials from DGCA. Which also includes dignitaries like Dr. M Thambidurai, Hon’ble Dpy Speaker Lok Sabha, Dr. P Venugopal, Member of Parliament Lok Sabha, Chairman Parliamentary Standing Committee-Rural Development, Leader AIAD MK Parliament Party, J C Diwakar Reddy, Chairman Parliament Party- Food Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Kirit Solanki, Member of Parliament, chairman Parliamentary Committee on welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Karia Munda, Former Dpy Speaker Lok Sabha
There were several categories which were awarded, Best Full Service Airline-Domestic – Jet Airways, Best Low Fare Airline – Domestic – Indigo, Best Full Service – International Airline – Air India, Best International Low Cost / Budget Airline Operating out of/into India – Indigo, Best Metro Airport – CSIA Mumbai and many others.
Well, Established in 1990, APAI (Air Passengers Association of India) is an autonomous organization formed to represent the interests of Air Passengers. Its India’s only national, non-profit organization focused on the rights and well-being of air passengers. Simply put, APAI creates awareness about the rights and privileges of air passengers and encourages them to address their grievances to the authorities concerned.
