‘Ambience Fashion Weekend’ makes a resounding fashion statement

Ambience Fashion Weekend (AFW), the maiden endeavour of Ambience Group evoked an overwhelming response as it got a big thumps up from fashion aficionados, designers and eminent personalities from the retail industry. A watershed moment for the fashion industry, as the two day ‘Ambience Fashion Weekend’ extravaganza was successful in taking Fashion & Retail to an absolutely new echelon. Organized on the 4th and 5th November’ 2016 at the Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, the two day fashion extravaganza was attended by the city’s glitterati, who’s who of the fashion circuit of Delhi, Fashion & Lifestyle Bloggers and Fashion enthusiast’s.

The stakes were obviously high since the spectacle involved high-end premier fashion and luxury brands that showcased the next season and festive collections. The two day fashion fiesta showcased collections of both Indian and international designers. The first day witnessed a glamorous launch with the crème da la crème of fashion and retail in total attendance. The Fashion show on the opening day got underway with famed brands like Marks & Spencer, Scullers, United Colors of Benetton, Creyate, Fab India, Gems, Satya Paul and Trends.

The show choreographed and presented by Fashion Guru Prasad Bidapa was truly enchanting with the latest trends of High-Fashion on display by International Retail giants and popular Indian Brands. The perfect amalgamation of age old charm and elegance coupled with the touch of modern day designs and creativity made the show unforgettable.

The evening was made memorable on the first day by the presence of Bollywood actress Ileana D’Cruz who added real glitz and glamour to the evening when she walked the ramp as the showstopper, looking stunning in a Marks & Spencer outfit.

Fresh from the huge success of her latest movie ‘Rustom’, and with hits like Fashion- ‘Barfi’ and ‘Mein Tera Hero’ in her kitty, there couldn’t have been a better choice than Ileana D’cruz for the showstopper. The other models who walked the ramp on the first day of AFW were differently abled role model Jeet Kanwar from JNU and Aarry Dabas (Mr. India) to name a few.

Day two of AFW too witnessed an impressive line-up of country’s noted couture Designers namely Ashima-Leena, Rimple & Harpreet Narula, Rina Dhaka and Pernia Qureshi.

The show commenced with Retail giants like Scullers, Marks and Spencer, Gems and Fab India displaying their exclusive and exquisite collections. This was ensued by the much awaited Indian designers Fashion-show with ace designer Leena Singh displaying her Couture collection ‘Mehr-un-nissa’ inspired by the Mughal era followed by a mesmerizing ensemble showcased by designer Pernia Qureshi.

The best was reserved for the last when Designer Rina Dhaka showcased her eclectic collections with Bollywood heartthrob Karishma Kapoor sashaying the ramp as the showstopper in a traditional outfit. As a result of all factors combined, the Ambience Fashion Weekend made a resounding fashion statement in its debut.
