New Delhi (India), April 20, 2023: In a development related to the ongoing hunt for fugitive Amritpal Singh, his wife Kirandeep Kaur was reportedly intercepted by authorities at Amritsar airport while she was attempting to board a flight to London.

Sources in the Punjab police disclosed that Kaur is currently being questioned by immigration officials at the airport.

Singh, who is wanted by the Indian government for his alleged connections to Khalistani separatists and Pakistan-based operatives, had recently married Kaur, who is a UK-based non-resident Indian. Singh had previously announced his intention to reside in Punjab with his wife, describing their marriage as an example of “reverse migration.”

Singh has been actively involved in the state’s political scene for the past several years, and his supporters refer to him as “Bhindranwale 2.0,” due to his professed admiration for the Khalistani terrorist and separatist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.

Last month, police conducted a major crackdown on Singh and members of his organization, “Waris Punjab De.” Singh managed to evade arrest in Jalandhar district on March 18 by changing his appearance and switching vehicles.

While Kaur has not been detained by authorities at this time, police have made it clear that they will continue to investigate her possible involvement in her husband’s activities. The case remains ongoing, and further updates are expected in the coming days.
