Apollo Hospitals and Republic TV Launch “Future of Health” Summit in Delhi!

Delhi: Republic TV, with Apollo Hospitals, one of the leading hospital chains in India launched one of the biggest media initiatives on healthcare called the ‘Future of Health” which is catalyzing progressive change towards a healthier India.

The event took place in Hotel, Leela Palace, New Delhi. Through this collaboration, both partners aimed to contribute towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal #3, ensuring healthy lives and promoting the well being at all ages which is essential to sustainable development of the country, by being the
conversation starters on the subject.

The launch in Delhi saw the discussion on the theme ”Future of Health”. The panelists included people from the likes of Media Personalities, UNAIDS, NABH, IMA, WHO and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation who offered different perspectives and opinions on how society can contribute towards building a better healthcare system in India.


Speaking on the occasion, Preetha Reddy, Vice Chairman, Apollo Hospitals said,

“Healthcare has become one of India’s largest sectors, both in terms of revenue and employment. Healthcare comprises hospitals, medical devices, Clinical trials, outsourcing, telemedicine, medical tourism, health insurance and medical equipment. The Indian Healthcare sector is growing ar a brisk pace due to it’s strengthening coverage, services and increasing expenditure by public as well as private players.”


Dr. Raj Ghosh, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Interacting with Media at “Future of Health” Summit said,

“Healthcare in India needs a revolution to expand its health infrastructure and Halth care Human Resource to meet India’s need. Every year 6 Crore people plunge into poverty because they can not meet the expenses of their health care needs.”
