Apple CEO Tim Cook launches India’s first Apple store in Mumbai, Bollywood celebrities join celebration

New Delhi (India), April 18, 2023: The much-awaited opening of India’s first Apple store in Mumbai’s BKC district saw the arrival of Apple CEO Tim Cook, who was present to welcome the customers on Tuesday.

The launch was graced by several Bollywood celebrities, who came together to celebrate the grand occasion.

The event was star-studded, and AR Rahman shared a picture of himself and Tim Cook on Instagram, in which they were seen having a conversation. Many others, including Mouni Roy and Boney Kapoor, also took to social media to express their excitement and share their pictures with the Apple CEO.

Neha Dhupia gave a shoutout to the beautiful Apple store and shared a selfie with Tim Cook. Interestingly, Tim Cook relished the quintessential street food, vada pav, during his visit to Mumbai, and it was none other than Madhuri Dixit who introduced him to the desi flavors. She shared a picture of the duo relishing vada pav at a restaurant, which garnered much attention on social media.

This grand launch of India’s first Apple store not only marked the beginning of a new chapter for Apple in India but also marked the company’s 25 years of presence in the country. A second store is set to open in New Delhi on April 20, furthering Apple’s expansion in the Indian market.
