Army Institute of Education Concludes Two-Day National Seminar on “Viksit Bharat @2047

GREATER NOIDA News (14/11/2025): The Army Institute of Education (AIE), Greater Noida, successfully concluded its two-day national seminar on “Education for Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Inspiring Teachers, Empowering Students, and Enriching Communities.” The seminar, held from November 13–14 in hybrid mode, brought together distinguished academicians, educationists, scholars, and thought leaders to deliberate on the future roadmap for a developed India.

DAY 1: INAUGURAL SESSION
The event began with the ceremonial Lamp Lighting and Saraswati Vandana, followed by a warm welcome from Dr. Abhilasha Gautam, Principal, AIE. In her address, she emphasized AIE’s commitment to nurturing reflective educators and fostering a research-driven environment that contributes to national progress. Education today must not only impart knowledge but also ignite a spirit of inquiry and responsibility among learners, she said.

Maj Gen Navraj Dhillon, VSM, COS Delhi Area and Chairman, AIE, delivered the Opening Address, underscoring the enduring relevance of the Guru-Shishya parampara. He remarked, “For India to emerge as a developed nation by 2047, it is essential to preserve and modernize our time-tested traditions. The bond of trust and respect between teacher and student is the foundation of a progressive society.”
The digital release of three major academic publications—Seminar Proceedings, ‘Sanklan’ (AIE Bi-Annual Newsletter), and ‘Vivaksha’ (AIE Magazine)—marked a significant moment in the inaugural ceremony.
Delivering the Guest of Honour Address, Prof. Dhananjay Joshi, Professor USE, GGSIPU and Former Vice Chancellor, Delhi Teachers University, highlighted the need to integrate India’s ancient academic heritage with modern educational advancements. He noted, Institutions like Nalanda and Taxila shaped global scholarship centuries ago. As we progress towards Viksit Bharat 2047, our challenge is to blend this intellectual legacy with contemporary innovation. Parents and teachers together form the first ecosystem of learning, and children flourish when both work in harmony.
Three parallel technical sessions followed the inaugural function, featuring research paper presentations by scholars from various institutions. The sessions—conducted in both physical and online modes—were chaired by eminent academicians including Dr. D.D. Aggarwal, Dr. Sarita Varma, and Dr. Parvesh Lata.
DAY 2: VALEDICTORY SESSION
The valedictory session on November 14 began with lamp lighting and the felicitation of dignitaries.
In her welcome address, Dr. Abhilasha Gautam expressed pride over the participation of nearly 150 research scholars. She noted, The quality of research presented over the last two days reaffirms that our academic community is deeply committed to India’s mission of becoming a knowledge powerhouse by 2047.

In his address, Mr. Mali highlighted the crucial role of India’s youth and educators in nation-building. He said, A developed India is not built in policy documents alone—it is shaped every day in classrooms, research labs, and community spaces. Every teacher has the power to mould young minds, and every student has the potential to drive change. A healthy, skilled, and educated youth is the true capital of our country. He urged students to take responsibility for their learning and contribute actively to the nation’s progress.
Valedictory Address by Dr. Sanjay Choudhary, President, CTPD (India)
Dr. Choudhary delivered an inspiring speech, citing exemplary individuals who have transformed education through their innovation and dedication.The path to Viksit Bharat runs through our classrooms. Teachers must become facilitators of curiosity, and institutions must empower learners to challenge, innovate, and lead. When educators and students work together, barriers crumble and possibilities multiply, he emphasized.
Chief Guest Dr. (Prof.) R.S. Yadav, Former Vice Chancellor, Baba Mastnath University
Sharing his vision for India’s educational transformation, Dr. Yadav said, Every child in this country holds immense potential. It is the teacher who unlocks it. A developed India will emerge when our education system identifies talent early, nurtures it continuously, and channels it towards national development. He urged teachers to act as nation builders and role models for future generations.

The seminar concluded with the presentation of the National Seminar Report by Dr. Reetu Rani, the Convener, followed by a formal Vote of Thanks by Ms. Kriti Guleria. Certificates were distributed to participants, and the program ended with the National Anthem and a group photograph.

The two-day seminar served as a significant platform for academic exchange, policy dialogue, and collaborative brainstorming. With over 150 research paper presentations, it encouraged educators and scholars to contribute meaningfully to India’s aspiration of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
