Babus follow Raman, knock off blue beacons

The officials’ parking lots at three Gautam Budh Nagar authorities looked markedly different on Monday morning with government vehicles missing the familiar blue beacons. Evidently, chairman Rama Raman’s decision to strip his vehicle of the beacon the day before set the precedent for other senior officials.

Opinions were divided with some officials not being pleased with the chairman’s decision while others welcomed it as a move towards dismantling VIP culture.
