Bengaluru, July 18, 2025: In the run-up to the 3rd edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS), a promotional roadshow was organized today at the KASSIA premises in Vijayanagar, Bengaluru. The trade show will be held from September 25–29, 2025, at the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida.

The roadshow is part of a nationwide outreach campaign to raise awareness and drive participation in UPITS 2025. This year’s theme — “Ultimate Sourcing Begins Here: Innovate, Integrate, Internationalize” — reflects the trade show’s aim to serve as a premier sourcing and networking hub for Indian and global businesses.

The event witnessed the participation of over 250 exporters and industry leaders from sectors including food processing, machinery, electronics, handicrafts, apparel, aroma products, and incense sticks (agarbatti).

UP Minister Highlights Uttar Pradesh’s Rising Industrial Landscape
Rakesh Sachan, Cabinet Minister for MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Sericulture, Handloom & Textile, Government of Uttar Pradesh, was the Chief Guest at the roadshow.

In his address, Sachan referred to Uttar Pradesh as “India’s Growth Engine”, citing massive strides in infrastructure, policy reform, and investment. “UP is the only state in the country organizing such a large-scale International Trade Show,” he said, emphasizing the success of initiatives like One District One Product (ODOP), which empowers local artisans and entrepreneurs.

He extended a warm invitation to members of FKCCI, KASSIA, Peenya Industrial Association, LUB, and other Karnataka-based business bodies to actively participate in UPITS 2025. Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s industrial appeal, he noted the presence of 75 districts, 96 lakh MSMEs (accounting for 14% of India’s total), 12 operational airports, state-of-the-art expressways, a robust law-and-order system, and a vast land bank available for industrial use.

With investments worth ₹40 lakh crore in the pipeline and ₹25 lakh crore already sanctioned, Uttar Pradesh is poised to become a $1 trillion economy by 2029, he added.

Industry Leaders from Karnataka Pledge Support

H.V.S. Krishna, Chairman, IMS Foundation – LUB-K, highlighted that over 10,000 members of Laghu Udyog Bharati belong to Uttar Pradesh. He emphasized that MSMEs form the backbone of economic growth.

B.R. Ganesh Rao, President, KASSIA, thanked the Government of Uttar Pradesh for organizing the Bengaluru roadshow and affirmed KASSIA’s full support and participation in the upcoming trade show. “UPITS will open doors to new markets and investment opportunities,” he said.

M.G. Balakrishna, President, FKCCI, also pledged participation. “As a 108-year-old organization, FKCCI is pleased to collaborate with UP. Karnataka, a leader in aerospace, IT, and machine tools, sees great potential in partnering with a rapidly growing state like Uttar Pradesh,” he said.

Danappa D.P., President, Peenya Industries Association, which represents the largest MSME cluster in South Asia, confirmed Peenya’s participation and noted the potential for cross-sectoral collaboration in aerospace, fabrication, mechanical, and electronics industries.

Road Ahead for UPITS 2025

Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Chairman of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), stressed the importance of promoting India’s artisanal products in global markets as a means of driving socio-economic development.

Raj Kamal Yadav, Additional Commissioner of Industries, Government of Uttar Pradesh, provided a detailed overview of the State’s industrial vision, while Sudeep Sarcar, CEO of India Exposition Mart Ltd., elaborated on the upcoming trade show’s expanded features, which include:
