BIMTECH scholars to start research on issues faced by SEWA members

Greater Noida, 26th April, 2022: SEWA, Ahmedabad and BIMTECH recently signed an MoU during SEWA Bazaar, facilitating mutual benefits.

Previously, both the parties had signed an MoU in 2007. “In the year 2007, Professor KK Krishnan and I visited SEWA, Ahmedabad, and signed an MoU with them for initiating mutually beneficial activities. Our students of the PGDM(IBM) Programme have been going to Gujrat and others states to undertake summer projects. Some of their work on creating policies on whether insurance has been a big help to SEWA,” said Dr. Chaturvedi, Director, BIMTECH.

“We have also been helping SEWA to organize their activities in Northern Indian states and particularly in Delhi NCR. A new MoU has been signed between SEWA and BIMTECH today to take forward future actions beyond the completion of 50 years of SEWA,” he added.

As part of the MoU, research scholars of BIMTECH will undertake research on some pressing issues of 2 million members of SEWA, the Director informed.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Reema Nanavaty, CEO, SEWA, Liz, Senior Vice President, Rockefeller Foundation, USA, Deepali Khanna, Managing Director, Asia among many others.
