New Delhi: Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) MP and party National Spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi on Friday said that BJP voters and their shops have been intentionally being targeted during the sealing drive by the monitoring committee.
She said this while addressing media on Friday at party headquarters.
With a view to corner the AAP government in the budget session, Delhi BJP MP’s including Delhi BJP Chief Manoj Tiwari and Leader of Opposition (LoP), Vijendra Gupta and other party MP’s addressed media.
Replying to the question that if BJP voters are being intentionally targeted then who is backing the monitoring team? She said, “I don’t know who is backing them and but it is true the areas where shops have been sealing are most of BJP voters colonies”.
Continuing his attack on AAP government for delaying in handling sealing issue, Manoj Tiwari said, “When we went to his door for the meeting to resolve the issue, they manhandled us. And when I was not in Delhi and he was well aware of it, he asked for all party meeting. This is called the real gimmick.”
Commenting on the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s apology to BJP ministers, he said, “Now it is proved that he is a liar and always been a liar and his acceptance proved it. He always tries to grab public attention by creating emotional drama.”
While LoP Vijendra Gupta said that the Union Minister of Urban Planning Hardeep Singh Puri has assured us that the sealing issue will be resolve permanently soon.
“AAP government should immediately notify the all 351 roads, pass a bill to legalize 1900 unauthorized colonies and pass a bill against anti-sealing. If the government did not do so, we will forcefully corner them.”
He further said that, “The monitoring committee is breaking the laws. The way they have been sealing the shops is illegal.”
