Kaiserganj, 12/06/2023: BJP MP and the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh announced that he would contest the Lok Sabha elections from Kaiserganj in Uttar Pradesh again.

The leader is currently in the news for the sexual harassment allegations against him. He disputed all charges against him and stated that he is waiting for the court’s decision before speaking about the athletes’ protest, which has now been suspended until June 15 after the government requested more time to present a charge sheet.

The BJP leader has served as a Samajwadi Party MP in Kaiserganj three times (from 2009 to 2014). On BJP tickets, he won the Balrampur Lok Sabha seat in 2004 and the Gonda Lok Sabha seats in 1991 and 1999. He is currently in his sixth term as a Lok Sabha Member of Parliament.

He also confirmed that the BJP would retake power at the Centre next year.

This comes as there have been 2 FIRs filed against him so far.
