CII UP Logistics & Supply Chain Summit 2025

20 June 2025, Noida : The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Uttar Pradesh in association with UP State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) organised the 3rd edition of UP Logistics and Supply Chain Summit 2025 on Friday 20 June 2025 at Noida.
Speaking at the session, the Chief Guest of the summit, Shri Mayur Maheshwari, CEO, UPSIDA mentioned that UP has embarked on a very transformative journey from land of potholes to having 50% of the access controlled expressways. He mentioned that the per capita income of UP has doubled in last 7 to 8 years. Also, in terms of infrastructure Noida has one of the best infra set-up even better than its NCR twins. He also mentioned that big industry players such as AB Mauri and Ashoka Leyland have set up largest and latest units of yeast and EV manufacturing in UP. He stated that India has 65% dependence on API and bulk drug on China and keeping this in mind, UP government is building largest sponsored bulk drug and API manufacturing plant inn Lalitpur.
Shri Shashank Chaudhury, ACEO, Invest UP , said that Invest UP Uttar Pradesh today stands out as one of the safest and most investor-friendly states in the country. With one of India’s biggest and most efficient single-window systems, setting up and doing business here has become smoother than ever. The state’s new policies are set to give a big push to key sectors like warehousing and logistics, which are critical for future growth. Backed by major national initiatives like PM Gati Shakti, UP has done a remarkable job in strengthening its infrastructure, making it a preferred destination for industries and investors alike.
Mr Pranay S Garg, Past Chairman, CII Western U.P. Zonal Council & Managing Director, Advance Valves Pvt Ltd , in his welcome remarks, highlighted that India’s logistics and transportation sector is set for remarkable expansion, driven by the country’s projected growth into a US$ 26 trillion economy by FY 2048. He emphasised that logistics demand is expected to reach 15.6 trillion ton-km by 2050 and realising this potential will require strong collaboration between government, industry, and service providers.
In his address, Mr Jasjit Sethi, Chief Strategic Officer, Transport Corporation of India Ltd , states that Logistics is often called the invisible backbone of development — but in a state like Uttar Pradesh, it’s time we bring that backbone into the spotlight. Today, with right policy support in Uttar Pradesh, we can make the most of the potential that already exists here. It’s also time we actively invite big industries — whether it’s in automotive, agriculture, or infrastructure — to set up in UP.
In his concluding remarks, Mr Mahesh Munjal, Chairman, CII Western U.P. Zonal Council & CMD, Majestic Auto Ltd mentioned that supply chain and logistics have become critical enablers of business success, evolving from transactional and compliance-focused functions into strategic drivers of competitiveness.
The summit witnessed deliberations on sessions including UP’s Logistics Vision 2030 for Building a US $ 1 Trillion Economy Backbone; and Unleashing the Future of Supply Chain with focus on the Digital Transformation of Logistics.
The summit was well attended by more than 200 representatives from the sector.
