Disney+ Hotstar presents the biggest comedy show of the year, HotstarSpecials’ Pop Kaun featuring the comedy legends – Kunal Kemmu, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Chunky Panday, Saurabh Shukla, and the Late Satish Kaushik. The series also stars the talented Nupur Sanon and Jamie Lever! Creator and director, Farhad Samji added, “My vision for Pop Kaun was very clear. I wanted to back the story with an ensemble cast that brings out the real flavor of family entertainment. So, bringing Johnny Lever, Chunky Panday, Rajpal Yadav, Saurabh Shukla, Kunal Kemmu and the late Satish Kaushik along with Nupur Sanon and Jamie Lever truly brought my vision to life in the series. Moreover, working with Disney+ Hotstar has been an amazing experience, and with this show, we intend that viewers enjoy watching Pop Kaun with their families and a tub of popcorn.

Whilst talking about the show, Kunal Kemmu added, “Pop Kaun is a light and breezy comedy and the highlight of the story is my camaraderie with all the characters – played by an ensemble cast. The chemistry between us was immediate and spontaneous. It was a fun ride on as well as off screen.”

Chunky Panday said, “Pop Kaun is a fun series for the whole family to enjoy together. It’s got humor, thrill, surprise, and a lot of fun! It is an experience we are very excited (have changed this bit to make it relevant) to share with the audience”

Saurabh Shukla said, “Comedy is a tough genre to follow but when you have people who are inherently humorous, the script is just a free-flowing dialogue between characters. The audience will witness quality comedy and meet characters they’ll never forget.”

Rajpal Yadav said, “I had an absolute blast shooting for Pop Kaun, a comedy show that will leave the audiences in splits. The chemistry and camaraderie I shared with the cast was simply wonderful, and it made the entire experience even more enjoyable.”

Johnny Lever said, “Working with Farhad and the team for Pop Kaun was one of the most fun shoots I have been a part of. The chemistry between the cast was amazing, and sharing the screen with my daughter Jamie was a truly wonderful experience. Comedy is in my blood and I’m so happy seeing her make it her own. Nupur Sanon added, “Working with Farhad sir, it has been such an enriching experience. With an eclectic cast like ours, one cannot get bored at all. Pop Kaun set was such a lively set that viewers will feel the energy and revel in the mood of the show.

Jamie Lever said, “Working with such a fun cast has been an amazing experience, there was never a dull moment on set, I felt right at home, especially with dad also being a part of it. Pop Kaun is a show for the masses and I’m glad to have had the opportunity to be a part of it.”
