Congress a sinking ship, Azad raised valid points: Fadnavis

Mumbai, August 27th, 2022: Maharashtra’s Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday lauded Ghulam Nabi Azad’s decision to quit Congress and said that he raised valid points.

Azad on Friday had resigned from all party posts and the primary membership of the party.

In a 5-page resignation letter to Sonia Gandhi, he blamed Rahul Gandhi for the downfall of Congress and called him “childish” and “immature”.

Fadnavis called the Congress party a “sinking ship” and said that those who think the ship can be salvaged were of different mindsets.

“I think the questions and issues raised by Azad were valid. However it is their internal matter and I will not comment further”, said the senior BJP leader.

Azad,73, who had been associated with Congress for nearly five decades has also announced his decision to launch a new party soon.
