Court summons AAP MLA Som Dutt over wrong declaration in the affidavit

The Delhi court summoned AAP MLA Som Dutt for purposely giving wrong information in his affidavit filed before the Election Commission during the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections.
Magistrate Abhilash Malhotra said that initially it was clear that the parents of the MLA Som Dutt from Sadar Bazar constituency were dependent on him but he changed this information and failed to declare his assets in the details provided to the returning officer.
Talking to Ten News, petitioner Praveen Jain, a BJP leader, said that, in this case, he can be jailed for six months to seven years and it’s a very serious, as he is a sitting MLA in Delhi assembly.
