Crime increased, so did punishment
A decrease in the number of murders in 2013 could not rid Delhi of its ‘crime capital’ tag as other heinous crimes, such as robbery, increased. However, Delhi Police in its annual press conference on Friday attributed much of this increase to “free and fair registration of FIRs”.
