Dankaur-Delhi EMU service resumed, thousands of commuters laud move

Gautam Budh Nagar, 2 September, 2022: Residents of Gautam Buddha Nagar have got an exciting news. The Railway Ministry has resumed rail service between Dankaur and Delhi. Surendra Singh Nagar, Rajya Sabha MP, had raised this concern in the House on March 30, 2022.

During the Covid-19 outbreak, the Electrical Multiple Unit Train (EMU) that ran between Delhi and other cities in the NCR was shut down. Even after the culmination of outbreak, the Ministry of Railways did not restart them.

MP Surendra Singh Nagar raised the issue before the House. In response to their request, the Railway Ministry has resumed rail service between Dankaur, Gautam Budh Nagar, and Delhi. On Thursday, the EMU train service was resumed. The MP expressed gratitude to the Railway Minister.

Rajya Sabha MP Surendra Singh Nagar told the House that thousands of employees commute daily between Gautam Budh Nagar and Delhi. For them, the EMU train is a low-cost, convenient mode of transportation. The district’s residents are experiencing numerous difficulties as a result of its shutdown.

The corona virus-caused pandemic is now over. As a result, the EMU train should be restarted. The Railway Minister informed the MP that the EMU train services would be restored in the House soon. On Thursday, this service was restored.
