Delhi budget session from March 16, Government seeks report on irregularities in ration distribution from Chief Secretary

New Delhi: After a long battle between Delhi Government and IAS association, Delhi cabinet has announced the dates of budget session from April 16 to 18 on Tuesday evening.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the budget session of Delhi government will start on March 16 and continue till March 28, however, the date of presenting budgets has been confirmed, he said while addressing media in Delhi Secretariat.

Ahead of budget and over other key issues, Delhi government held a cabinet meeting on Tuesday at Delhi secretariat where Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash and other senior officials and minister of the Delhi government participated. The cabinet meeting lasted for 20 minutes.

While media briefing after the cabinet meeting, Dy CM, Manish Sisodia further said, “Besides budget, the cabinet also discussed about the sheer irregularities prevailing in ration distribution system and sought a report from Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash within two weeks.”

Moreover, the cabinet also showed its disappointment on dysfunction of government offices from last two weeks owing to the tussle between the government and Delhi office bearers. “We have also sought a report from the Chief Secretary to give a proposal on home delivery of Rations to the card holders” Sisodia added.
