Delhi Congress to start “Halla-Bol” rally to protest against economic slump & rising unemployment!

New Delhi(06/11/2019): The Delhi Congress, under the leadership of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Subhash Chopra, will hold a “Halla-Bol” rally on 8 November (Friday) to protest against the Modi Government for the country’s economic slump, rising unemployment rate and worsening condition following the ill-advised demonetization three years ago.

The Halla-Bol rally will be held from 3 p.m at the 12-Tooti Chowk,  Sadar Bazar, in the Chandni Chowk Assembly constituency. After the Halla-Bol rally, a funeral procession to mark the third anniversary of demonetization will be held. Ex-MP Jai Prakash Agarwal will also address the rally.

Chief spokesperson and chairman of the Media  and Communication Department Mukesh Sharma said that the Delhi Congress, under the leadership of Subhash Chopra, has decided to hold agitations against the Modi Government on the  third anniversary of the demonetization, which has destroyed the economy of the country.  He said that the Congress workers will hold rallies  in all the districts and  main shopping bazars. These rallies will be addressed by Shri Subhash Chopr and all the senior and other leaders of the party.

Subhash Chopra said that the Modi Government at the Centre has failed on all fronts and the country’s economy is in  shambles now. He said that every fourth person in the country is neck-deep in debt. He said that the Modi Government’s policies were intended to promote crony capitalism to help some chosen rich and powerful friends of the BJP. Chopra reiterated that the Modi Government did not sign the RCEP agreement due to the country-wide pressure mounted by the Congress party. Chopra said that educated young people in Delhi were roaming around without  jobs.
