Delhi government imposes Level-1 of GRAP amid rise of Covid cases in the Capital

New Delhi (28/12/2021): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a high-level reviw meeting on Tuesday on the prevailing Covid situation.
Conclusively, Delhi government is enforcing Level-1 (Yellow alert) of Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) as the Covid-19 positivity rate has been above 0.5% for the past few days.
Arvind Kejriwal said, ”As the COVID19 positivity rate has been above 0.5% for the past few days, we are enforcing Level-I (Yellow alert) of the Graded Response Action Plan.”
According to the detailed plan of level-1 (Yellow alert) of GRAP: Night curfew will continue from 10pm to 5am, Delhi Metro, restaurants, bars to operate at 50% capacity; with restaurants to operate from 10 am to 8 pm & Bars to operate from 12 pm to 8 pm Moreover, malls to stay open from 10 am-8pm on an odd-even basis.
Cinema halls, spas, gyms, multiplexes, banquet halls, auditoriums & sports complexes to be closed, with immediate effect.
20 people will be allowed at weddings and funerals. Religious places to remain open but devotees would not not allowed. Only 2 person is to be allowed in autos & taxis
Delhi recorded 331 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, the biggest single-day increase in 201 days & the positivity rate is 0.68% more than 0.5% since few days, crossing the eligibility for yellow allert of GRAP & hence in the view of increasing positivity rate yellow alert in Delhi is being implemented with immediate effect.
