Delhi Govt Schools To Go Global With French Learning

New Delhi, 3 May 2022: The Delhi government on Monday signed an MoU with the Institut Francais en Inde in presence of Emmanuel Lenain, French ambassador to India to teach French in Delhi board schools, says Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.

With the intention to provide better future employment opportunities to students in India as well as in abroad, the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) has affiliated 30 schools of specialised excellence to the French institute, he added.

With assistance from the Institut Francais en Inde, Directorate of Education and DBSE will train teachers and other human resources in Communicative French and also provide a cultural and academic platforms to the students.

“Among all the collaborations between the two countries, education will always remain our priority. Learning French will be a life-changing experience for the students of Delhi government schools, and provide them new opportunities academically and professionally,” said Lenain.

“Introduction of global languages like French will unlock new career options for our students in various fields and will make them professionally sound,” said Sisodia at the occasion.
