New Delhi, 21 September 2022: Delhiā€™s Social Welfare minister, Rajendra Pal Gautam has announced that the Delhi government would soon distribute pension cards to ease out the procedure of pension payout for elderly and differently-abled residents.

In a meeting, the minister ordered the officers to expedite the pension disbursal procedure so that the recipients receive their pensions on time.

“The elderly and differently-abled people eagerly wait for the pension provided by the government every month. It is our duty to ensure that they are given a pension in a timely manner so that they can buy essential items conveniently,” he said.

It is also stated that citizens must have lived in Delhi for at least five years prior to the application date in order to be eligible to apply for any of these pensions.
