New Delhi, July 30, 2023: In a heart-rending incident that unfolded on Sunday, a Delhi Police Inspector, identified as Jagbir Singh, met with a fatal accident after being struck by a truck on Rohtak Road, near Madipur Metro Station in the national capital.
As per reports from ANI, the unfortunate event occurred when Inspector Jagbir Singh was outside his vehicle, which had come to a halt due to a mechanical issue. The truck driver, in a shocking act, abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene, leaving behind a trail of sorrow and disbelief.
The tragic mishap unfolded when the speeding truck collided with Inspector Singh’s stationary car from behind, resulting in severe injuries that proved fatal. Despite immediate efforts to provide medical assistance, the brave police official succumbed to his injuries, leaving the entire Delhi Police fraternity in mourning.
Inspector Jagbir Singh, a dedicated member of the Delhi Police’s Security Unit, had been on duty at the time of the incident. The news of his untimely demise has sent shockwaves through the community, with condolences pouring in from all quarters.
“A Delhi Police inspector died after his car was hit by a truck from behind on Rohtak Road, near Madipur Metro Station. The car had stopped due to some mechanical problem, and the deceased was standing outside when his car was hit by the truck,” stated the authorities as reported by ANI.
The identity of the truck driver remains unknown, as he fled the scene immediately after the collision. Legal action is being pursued, and the police are diligently working to trace the culprit behind this heinous act.
“The deceased has been identified as Inspector Jagbir Singh of Delhi Police, presently posted in the Security Unit. The truck driver left the truck and fled from the spot,” the police authorities confirmed.
