New Delhi: On 21 March, the national capital was celebrating the festival of colors, Delhi Police has made strong security arrangements all over the city to make the smooth celebration of the festival.
Delhi Police and Delhi Traffic Police has made strong and secure arrangements to ensure safety and security of people during the festival of colours.
Police squads were deployed with alco-meters at all major intersections and sensitive roads to combat drunk driving during the festival.
At major intersections including ITO, police personnel were deployed along with heavy barricading to keep an strict eye on the mischief mongers .
Policemen were deployed outside the liquor shops to prevent any kind of unlawful activities.
Police vehicles were patrolling the city to keep the people safe form miscreants and to make the festival smooth.
Women PCR’s were also patrolling the city to mark a safe holi for women and children.
Apart from that “Quick Response Teams (QRTs) had also been deployed at strategic points to deal with any untoward incident. Delhi Police’s counter-terrorism unit and Crime Branch have also been put into loop and instructed to tighten their vigil during Holi,” Madhur Verma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) and also the spokesperson of Delhi Police quoted as saying in a media report.
