District-Level Bal Utsav Under Pragati–2026 Highlights Confidence, Creativity and Leadership

Greater Noida News (11/02/2026): Under the Meena Manch initiative, a district-level Bal Utsav was successfully organised on Tuesday at Upper Primary School, Itehra, Bisrakh, as part of the Pragati–2026 programme. The event focused on nurturing self-respect, confidence and holistic development among girls and students.
The programme was held under the guidance of Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar and the leadership of District Girls’ Education Coordinator Vinay Prakash Singh. Students from all four blocks of the district participated with great enthusiasm, making the event vibrant and impactful.

A total of 60 students and 30 facilitators took part in the Bal Utsav. The programme was formally inaugurated by the Chief Development Officer of Greater Noida, Dr. Shivakant Dwivedi, who lit the ceremonial lamp. Dr. Aarti Sharma, Director of Pragya IAS Academy, Greater Noida, attended the event as Guest of Honour, while Arvind Pathak, District Coordinator (Inclusive Education), was also present.
During the ceremony, District and Block-level Girls’ Education Nodal Officers and Master Trainers were felicitated for their dedicated efforts towards girls’ education and empowerment. Those honoured included Aarti Kulshreshtha (District Nodal Officer), Jyotirmayi Pandey (Dankaur Block), Mahesh Kumar, Archana Pandey (Bisrakh Block), Anamika Sharma (Jewar Block) and Mamta Sharma (Master Trainer, Dadri Block).

The Bal Utsav aimed to strengthen leadership qualities, self-confidence, creativity and social awareness among students. A series of engaging activities such as cultural performances, “My Change Story” presentations and a Poster and Comic Book Creation Competition were organised. From the 60 participating students, 10 students were selected for exceptional performance.
In the “My Change Story” category, Gopi (PM Shri School, Kanigarhhi, Jewar), Ritu (Composite School, Wazidpur, Bisrakh), Aksha (Junior High School, Shadipur Hidauli, Dadri), Priya (Kasturba Gandhi Residential School, Chiti, Dankaur) and Ankit (Composite School, Parthala Khanjarpur) were declared winners.

The Comic Book Creation Competition winners included Sandhya (Composite School, Chhatanga Khurd, Jewar), Vijay Laxmi (Composite School, Ghori Bacheda, Dadri), Gauri (Upper Primary School, Ladpura, Dankaur), Avni (Upper Primary School, Parthala Khanjarpur) and Neeti (Kasturba Gandhi Residential School, Dankaur).
All selected students were awarded medals and certificates and will now represent Gautam Budh Nagar district at the divisional level. The event was widely appreciated as a meaningful step towards empowering girls and promoting their all-round development.
