Noida : In a move that is set to affect commuters travelling between Delhi and Noida, the traffic police have put in place a diversion on a portion of Udyog Marg, one of the busiest roads in the city.

With the latest experiment, the traffic police have blocked a turn on the road that will prevent commuters using Udyog Marg from taking a right turn to go towards Delhi via New Ashok Nagar. Instead, they will have to first take a left via the service road and travel straight towards the Noida Sector 15 metro station and then take a U-turn.
The U-turn, which is under the metro station, can be used to travel towards Delhi after merging with the traffic approaching Sector 16.
Meanwhile, the commuters travelling from Delhi towards Noida will still be able to travel straight, just without merging into the traffic approaching from the right.
SP traffic Anil Jha told that the decision has been taken to ease vehicular traffic on the stretch, which witnesses regular congestion during peak hours.
