New Delhi, July 02, 2024: IILM Lodhi Road, renowned for its excellence in education, has announced the appointment of Dr. Harivansh Chaturvedi as its new Director General.
With a distinguished career spanning over 47 years in higher education, Dr. Chaturvedi brings a wealth of experience in teaching, research, policy formulation, and institutional management to IILM. His illustrious tenure includes serving as Professor and Director at Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), where he elevated the institution to Category-1 status recognized by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Under his leadership, BIMTECH also achieved prestigious accreditations including AACSB.
Dr. Chaturvedi is also celebrated as a founding member and Executive President of the Education Promotion Society of India (EPSI), renowned for its advocacy in private higher education. His leadership at EPSI has garnered national recognition from the Ministry of Education and various regulatory bodies.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Dr. Chaturvedi remarked, “IILM boasts a distinguished legacy of producing disruptive leaders and change agents. I am honored to join as Director General and look forward to collaborating with the institution’s esteemed faculty, staff, and students to achieve new heights of academic excellence.”
Dr. Chaturvedi’s academic journey began at Agra University, where he earned his Master’s degree in Commerce (M. Com) and Ph.D. in Business Management. He commenced his career in 1977 at Raja Balwant Singh College, Agra, and later served as Deputy Director at AICTE, contributing significantly to policy development and the establishment of the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for engineering and management education in India.
The appointment of Dr. Chaturvedi marks a pivotal moment for IILM Lodhi Road, poised to leverage his vast expertise to enhance initiatives and solidify its position as a premier educational institution in India. His leadership is expected to drive interdisciplinary research, foster industry collaborations, and promote best practices across the institution.
