New Delhi (India), April 29, 2023: In a tragic incident that shocked the academic community, a 22-year-old Mechanical Engineering student was stabbed to death during the annual college fest at Reva University near Bagalur, north Bengaluru.
The victim has been identified as Bhaskar Jetty, a fourth-year student hailing from Gujarat.
According to police, the incident took place on Friday evening when a scuffle broke out between two groups of students over a trivial matter. The situation quickly escalated, leading to the fatal stabbing of Jetty. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries later that night. Police are currently investigating the matter and searching for the assailant responsible for the heinous crime.
The deceased student’s parents in Gujarat and guardian in Mathikere have been informed of the tragedy, and his body has been shifted to the mortuary for an autopsy to be conducted on Saturday.
