EPCH Delegation meets Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh & Textiles Ministry Secretary
New Delhi/NCR– 30th September’2025 – An Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) delegation met Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of Textiles, Government of India, and Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, at Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi, to extend a formal invitation to the forthcoming 60th IHGF Delhi Fair – Autumn 2025 at India Expo Centre & Mart (IEML), Greater Noida.
The delegation was led by Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Chairman – EPCH, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General in the role of Chief Mentor-EPCH & Chairman-IEML alongwith Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairman – EPCH; Ravi K. Passi, Member – CoA & Former Chairman-EPCH; Vishal Agarwal, Prominent Member Exporter & National Chairman, YES; R. K. Verma, Executive Director-EPCH and Rajesh Rawat, Addl. Executive Director-EPCH.
During the meeting Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of Textiles appreciate EPCH’s continued efforts to expand market access, strengthen quality compliance and shared his vision to enhance productivity, design innovation and domestic value addition, so that artisans are benefitted both in global markets and growing home market.
Neelam Shami Rao also advised consistent approach on quality, compliance, sustainability, networking and design-led growth in focused nations on focused products while assuring facilitation within the Ministry’s framework.
Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Chairman – EPCH shared that “our discussions focused on actionable solutions to reinforce India’s position in global handicrafts. We are grateful for the Ministry’s guidance and look forward to deeper collaboration that directly benefits entire Handicrafts sector.”
Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General in the role of Chief Mentor – EPCH and Chairman IEML, said that “EPCH remains committed to market development and buyer outreach through marketing platforms like IHGF Delhi Fair. We will continue to invest in design support, sustainability roadmaps and export readiness so that Indian handicrafts remain competitive and future-ready. He further stressed on the need for warehousing facility through 3PL model which is the need of the hour and is going to provide export growth in the years ahead.”
