G.D.Goenka School Faridabad celebrates Independence Day

Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in G.D.Goenka Public School Faridabad. The Flag was unfurled by Principal Dr. Shreesh Bhardwaj. After the flag hoisting ceremony a cultural program was organised. The programme started with a melodious orchestra both Indian and Western filling the surrounding air with music.  One of the students, Abhinav Sharma talked about the importance of the day. A beautiful dance by the tiny tots of class first on the song popular patriotic song ‘Desh Mera’ enthralled the gathering. The dance by the tiny tots was followed by two more dances by the students of Class Five based on the patriotic songs. Class four students presented a group song on the popular English song ‘India O My India’. Before the program was wrapped up the students of class ten recited Vande Mataram.

Speaking on the occasion Principal, Dr. Shreesh Bhardwaj appreciated the performances by the students. He highlighted the importance of freedom and called upon the young generation to value the sacrifices made by the soldiers to secure the freedom for the generations to come. He said that it is the duty of the current generation to protect and value the freedom.
