Father Agnel Balbhwan organized the Fr. Bento Champions Cup 2024

Greater NOIDA (25/08/24) Father Agnel Balbhwan organized the Fr. Bento Champions Cup 2024 to commemorate the completion of 25 years of Balbhwan.
This event was made more special with the presence of Chief guest Mr. Wazid Ali who’s the honorable general secretary of district football association Gautam Budh Nagar.
The tournament for category under 17 boys and girls was organized from 20th August to 22nd August 2024.

In this category, a total of 34 teams participated with 20 teams in the U17 boys category and 14 teams in the U17 girls category.

The teams that reached the finals and the teams that won are given below:

● U17 Boys category
Apex school Delhi and Aster school Gr. Noida played in the finals where Aster School took the Runners up trophy along with medals and certificates. The Apex school Delhi took the winners trophy. They were also awarded with a cash prize of rupees 5100, medals and certificates.

Best Player award was given to Enrique Paul of Apex school Delhi.

● U17 Girls category
Father Agnel Balbhwan greater Noida and Aster school Noida played in the finals where Father Agnel Balbhwan took the runners up trophy along with medals and certificates. The Aster school Noida took the winners trophy. They were also awarded with a cash prize of rupees 5100, medals and certificates.

Best Player award was given to Jiya of Aster school Noida.

The event was successful and every player went home with a spirit of Sportsmanship and all the memories they created.

Open category
The matches for the Open category were organized on 24th and 25th August. In this category, a total 24 teams participated.
This category was graced with the presence of chief guest, Wazid Ali and Fr. Carvalho.

The teams that made it to the finals were Goal hunters and Compassionate Missionaries. Both the teams played well and kept the audience hooked to the game.

The best player was awarded to Himanshu from the Compassionate Missionaries teams and he was awarded with a trophy and Adidas Voucher worth Rupees five thousand.

The compassionate Missionaries took up the Runners up Prize, a cheque of rupees eleven thousand.

The Goal hunters team emerged as the winners and was awarded with a cheque of rupees Twenty one thousands.

The event was successful and every participant left with an enruch
