Greater Noida, 25th July: Faculty Development Programme on “Electric Vehicle” Technology Commenced at Galgotias University on Tuesday.
The title of this Faculty Development Program is “Recent Advancement and Challenges,” and it aims to accelerate the growth of “Electric Vehicle” technology. This will result in two major benefits – first, enhanced environmental safety, and second, customers will be able to get these vehicles at a lower cost with better mileage. Electric vehicles are also considered advantageous from a safety perspective. The five-day program is sponsored by I S I E India Pvt. Ltd., and it will witness the participation of around 88 scholars from various important institutions, including industries and IITs, from several states in India and other countries who will share their significant experiences.
On the first day of the program, Professor Dr. Divakar Rakshit from IIT Delhi delivered a lecture on battery technology. He mentioned that both the Indian government and state governments are supporting the “Electric Vehicles” initiative, and they have also provided provisions for free registration. Research is ongoing at IIT Delhi to improve the quality and performance of electric vehicle batteries. It is expected that their efficiency could be doubled within the next 8 to 16 years. Several initiatives are being explored and researched to create powerful and safe batteries.
During these five days, participants will have the opportunity to listen to various experts covering important topics such as research, safety, quality, and environmental protection.
Eminent personalities like Professor Sandeep Kumar Shah from IIT Bombay, Professor Abhishek Kumar from the University of California, Atul Gaud, Vice President of Pikcraft, Dr. B.S. Ramesha, Head Academic Initiatives at Altair, and Senior Trainer Kumar Ji from the Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers will participate actively.
Galgotias University’s Chancellor, Sunil Galgotia, emphasized that while we are making significant technological advancements, we need to be sensitive towards the environment, so that future generations can live in a pollution-free environment, and electric vehicles can play a significant role in achieving this.
The CEO of the University, Dhruv Galgotia, stated that both the central and state governments are committed to addressing the complex environmental issues. They aim to reduce the use of petrol and diesel-powered vehicles as much as possible. He praised the government’s crucial initiatives and added that they are also providing assistance to people at their level.
