New Delhi : A four-storey commercial building at Padma Singh Road in Karol Bagh collapsed on Wednesday morning. Fire officials said a relief and rescue operation was under way to look for anyone who might be trapped under the debris.
A call about the incident was received at 8.40 am after which four vehicles, including two rescue responders, were sent to the spot, a senior official from Delhi Fire Service said.
The ground floor of the building were shops. However, there was no occupancy on the four floors of the building, the officer said.
Police said the building was in a dilapidated state for long and only the ground floor of the building was in use for some commercial purposes. When the building collapsed no one was inside it, officials said.
