“From Zero to Hero”: ACEO Sanjay Khatri Highlights Noida’s Inspiring 50-Year Journey

NOIDA, (April 16, 2025): At the grand celebration “Ek Shaam, Ek Utkrisht Kshetra Ke Naam”, held to mark the beginning of Noida’s Golden Jubilee year, ACEO Sanjay Khatri delivered a powerful reflection on the city’s transformation. “Fifty years ago, Noida began from zero — and today, it’s a hero. This transformation is not just the story of development; it’s the story of every citizen who contributed to this growth,” he remarked.

Khatri underscored how Noida has gained global recognition. “Today, Noida’s image is so inspiring that many foreign countries visit to study its model. They want to replicate our industrial and infrastructural development in their own nations,” he said. He proudly noted that “over 11,000 companies are currently operating in Noida, and it’s hard to find a major multinational that doesn’t have a presence here.”

Highlighting the city’s contribution to employment, he shared, “More than 25 to 30 lakh people earn their livelihood here,” adding that the growing traffic is “a clear reflection of the rapid development over the past 3–4 years.”

On the environmental front, Khatri said, “We have 3,300 acres of dedicated green area — that’s about 15–16% of Noida. If we include parks inside societies, it exceeds 20% — a rare feat for any urban city.”

Looking to the future, he announced several upcoming developments: “In the coming year, under the leadership of our CEO, Noida will see 5–6 new hi-tech parks. We’re also bringing elevated bridges, the Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra, and a world-class convention center.”

He concluded with a promise of grandeur in the days ahead: “Just like India celebrated its 75th year of independence, we’ll celebrate Noida’s 50th with equal enthusiasm. RWAs and local organizations will be key contributors to this special year.”
