Galgotias College felicitates deserving female faculties and students on International Women’s Day
Yesterday, International Women’s Day was celebrated at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida under the Mission Shakti. This program was conducted at GCET in association with District Administration of Gautam Buddh Nagar. This program was inaugurated by Chief Development Officer Anil Kumar Singh, MLA Jewar Dhirendra Singh and MLC Shrichand Sharma.
After this, there was the live telecast of the program of Chief Minister Shri Yogi Aditya Nath on the Women Empowerment. In this, he insisted on empowering the women in multi facet area with positive outlook. After this, DM Shri Suhas LY had an interactive session with women.
At this stage, the newsletter of ICC-GCET was released by all the dignitaries present over the dais. This program was graced by the presence of Alok Kr Singh, IPS, Police Commissioner, Suhas LY, DM, Vrinda Shukla, DCP (Mahila Suraksha), Anil Kr Singh, CDO, Shailendra Bahadur Singh, District Social Welfare Officer, Atul Kumar Soni, District Probation Officer, Dr. Brijesh Singh, Director, Galgotias College, Anwer Shekh, District Development Officer, Dharmveer Singh, District Vidhyalay Nirikshak, Poonam Tiwari, District Program Officer and Adesh Kumar Singh, Deputy GM, Canara Bank.
In its continuation, awards were distributed to women of “Self Help Group” and for best idea given for women safety to three persons. Under Mission Shakti, awards were also distributed to many women for their achievements (Shooter, Wrestler, Heavy Vehicle Driver, Meritorious Students of UP Board and ICSE board).
After this, female faculty members of GCET were facilitated with awards in different categories that included teaching, research and skill development among the students and girls’ students of GCET were also facilitated for Medhavi Chhatra Award and Nivida Award for outstanding performance in academics and performing exceptional work in social services. In continuation, Bicycle were distributed among the many women of the community in which Suneel Galgotia, Chairman, GEI and Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias Educational Institutions were also present.
In the successful conduct of this program, the contribution of Dr Brijesh Singh, Director, Dr Ansar Anjum, Chairperson -ICC – GCET, Ashish Kr Mishra – Admin Officer were appreciated.
At the end, vote of thanks was offered by Anil Kumar Singh, CDO, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
