Galgotias University Commemorates 77th Army Day with Blood Donation Camp and Poster Competitions
Greater Noida, 15 January 2025 – Galgotias University marked the 77th Army Day with a series of events aimed at honoring the courage, unity, and patriotism of the Indian Army. This historic occasion, celebrated across the nation, commemorates the appointment of General K.M. Cariappa as the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army on 15 January 1949.
Chancellor Sunil Galgotia paid tribute to the brave martyrs of the nation and expressed gratitude to ex-servicemen for their invaluable contributions. He highlighted that Army Day serves as a reminder to salute the valor of the armed forces and to inspire a sense of patriotism and unity among citizens. “Army Day is a grand celebration of patriotism, unity, and valor,” he said.
To further honor the sacrifices of the Indian Army, Galgotias University organized a Blood Donation Camp and Poster Competitions, where students and staff participated actively, sending a strong message of service to society. Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, also expressed his respect for the armed forces. “The brave soldiers of our country are like God in human form for us. The entire nation salutes their indomitable courage and sense of duty. Army Day reminds us that it is the sacrifice and dedication of our soldiers that keeps our nation safe and strong,” he remarked.
