Galgotias University Launches Organic Farming Initiative in Kanarsa Kanarsi Village for World Environment Day 2024
Galgotias University organised a comprehensive organic farming training program and the establishment of organic product setups, including the production of Jeevamrit, vermicompost, and other sustainable agricultural inputs, in collaboration with All India Agricultural Students Association-Uttar Pradesh at adopted village, Kanarsa Kanarsi. This initiative aligns with our commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture and ecosystem restoration as part of World Environment Day 2024.
University is committed to empower local farmers with the knowledge and tools to adopt organic farming practices and produce high-quality organic inputs, thereby enhancing soil health, crop yields, and environmental sustainability.
In addition to training, the student startup, Farmer’s Friend with financial support from Galgotias University and AIASA- Uttar Pradesh has established production units for various organic products in the field of Mr. JeetRam Singh.
Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO, Galgotias University said that such initiatives will serve as a model for sustainable agriculture. By combining training with the establishment of organic product units, the village is paving the way for a healthier, more prosperous future.
