Galgotias University Showcases Innovation and Excellence at Bharat Shiksha Expo 2024

At the inaugural Bharat Shiksha Expo 2024, Galgotias University, a platinum partner of the event, showcased its commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
The UP Education Minister, Yogendra Upadhyay, was the chief guest at the Expo and took a special interest in Galgotias University’s initiatives. During his visit to the stall, he had the unique opportunity to experience a ride in the electric solar bus, which was crafted by the university’s engineering students. The solar bus is part of the university’s commitment to promoting sustainability and innovation in student-led projects.
The university’s representatives at the kiosk provided insight into its strategic focus on nurturing talent and fostering innovations. They shared details of the various programs aimed at enhancing students’ educational experiences, including their emphasis on critical thinking, collaborative activities, and hands-on learning. These programs are designed to equip students with the necessary skills to excel both academically and professionally.
One of the key highlights of the university’s initiatives is its active learning ecosystem, where innovative strategies are integrated with traditional teaching methods. Students are not only encouraged to think critically, but also engage in real-world projects that prepare them for future challenges. The university has produced several Paralympic medalists, including athletes who have achieved significant success in competitions such as the Khelo India event. Notably, one athlete earned a bronze medal in mixed doubles and placed fourth in singles. Other athletes like Preeti and Simran have excelled in track and field events, with Preeti winning bronze in both the 100m and 200m races.
In addition to its sports initiatives, Galgotias University is making strides in the field of technology and innovation. The iOS Development Program, a collaborative effort between the university, Infosys, and Apple, is one of the institution’s flagship offerings. This unique, industry-academia collaboration has been expanded into a one-year program, where students can develop their own iOS apps and gain invaluable industry experience through an internship with Infosys.
