A workshop was organized by the Gautam Budh Nagar police to ensure an in-depth understanding of the model code of conduct. All senior police officials of the district participated in the programme.

According to a senior official, the workshop was held following directions from the DGP office in Lucknow. Police were told they too must abide by the code of conduct besides acting in an impartial manner towards election candidates.
