GIMS Greater Noida Hosts DASMOS-2025: Anatomy Experts Unite for Advances in Research and Teaching

GREATER NOIDA News (12/12/2025): The Department of Anatomy at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, hosted DASMOS-2025, the annual academic conference of the Delhi Association of Morphological Sciences, bringing together leading anatomists and researchers from across Delhi and the NCR.
The one-day event, themed “Evolution of Anatomy: Advancements in Research and Teaching Methodologies,” drew nearly 130 delegates, including eminent faculty members, postgraduate scholars, and experts from premier medical institutions.
The conference was inaugurated in the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Krishna Garg, former Professor and Head of Anatomy at LHMC, New Delhi, and Guest of Honour Dr. (Col.) B. K. Mishra.
Dr. (Brig.) Rakesh Gupta, Director of GIMS, served as the Patron of the event, while Dr. Ranjana Verma, Organising Chairperson, welcomed the delegates. Organising Secretary Dr. Pragati Sheel Mittal delivered the vote of thanks.
Senior faculty members who have significantly contributed to the discipline of anatomy were honoured during the ceremony. Among the attendees were Dean Dr. Rambha Pathak, CMS Dr. Saurabh Srivastav, Dr. Sabita Mishra, Dr. Sonu, and Dr. P. Vineel.

The scientific programme featured two thought-provoking lectures by renowned experts:
* Dr. S. B. Ray, Professor & Head, Department of Anatomy, AIIMS New Delhi, spoke on Research Methodology, highlighting emerging trends and best practices for young investigators.
* Dr. Sabita Mishra, Director Professor, Department of Anatomy, MAMC New Delhi, delivered insights on the role of Artificial Intelligence in reshaping anatomy education, illustrating how technology is transforming teaching techniques and student engagement.
A major attraction of DASMOS-2025 was the Scientific Poster Presentation Session, with 30 participants presenting research on a wide array of topics including anatomical variations, developmental anatomy, histological studies, cadaver-based findings, neurovascular anomalies, and innovative educational tools.
Posters were evaluated for clarity, scientific contribution, and relevance. The winners were:
First Prize: Dr. Robin Saini, AIIMS New Delhi
Second Prize: Dr. Prerna Jain, GIMS Greater Noida
Third Prize: Dr. Pavitra Shree, MAMC New Delhi
DASMOS-2025 served as a platform for academic exchange, fostering collaboration among medical institutions and encouraging upcoming researchers to pursue excellence in anatomical sciences. The event also highlighted the growing significance of modern teaching methodologies and the continuous evolution of anatomy as a field.
