GL Bajaj Center for Research and Incubation, Greater Noida Hosted Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program for First-Year Students

Greater Noida (03/05/2025): In a remarkable initiative to foster innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among young minds, the GL Bajaj Center for Research and Incubation (GLBCRI) organized a two-day program titled “Cultivating the Spirit of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for First-Year Students.” Held on April 25 and 26, 2025, the sessions were specially curated for students of the Chemistry and Physics groups, respectively.

The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to all esteemed delegates and participants. This was followed by the Welcome Address by the Head of the Department, Applied Sciences and Humanities (AS&H)of GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management (GLBITM), who emphasized the significance of innovation as a key driver for future careers.

Setting an inspiring tone, Dr. S. P. Mishra, Advisor, GLBCRI, delivered the Keynote Address. He stressed the importance of early exposure to innovation, encouraging students to think beyond traditional academic boundaries and take active steps toward creating impactful solutions for real-world problems.

Students witnessed an inspirational session by Mr. Sandeep Jain, Founder of GeeksforGeeks. Sharing his personal journey from a student to a successful entrepreneur, Mr. Jain highlighted the importance of perseverance, continuous learning, and technical expertise. His session resonated deeply with the audience, particularly aspiring technopreneurs.

Adding to the momentum, Mr. Abhishek Tiwari, Founder of Venture Mozart, delivered a keynote on the entrepreneurial journey, providing practical insights into startup building, risk-taking, and sustaining innovation in competitive markets.

The participants had the opportunity to hear a featured talk by Prof. (Dr.) Shashank Awasthi, Dean strategy, GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Managements, Greater Noida whose expertise in science and innovation captivated the students. This was followed by an inspirational session by Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Singh, Director of Research and Innovation at Uttaranchal University. Dr. Singh’s talk centered around research-driven entrepreneurship and the emerging opportunities for science graduates to become innovators and startup founders.

Each day concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. P. S. Pandey, General Manager, GLBCRI, who acknowledged the efforts of all speakers, the support of the management, and the enthusiastic participation of students. He emphasized that the seeds of innovation planted through such programs would lead to a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem at GLBITM.

Prof.(Dr.) Preeti Bajaj , Director of the Institute said that GLBCRI reflects the institute’s forward-thinking approach to integrating innovation and entrepreneurship into mainstream education. By providing early exposure to industry leaders and innovation mentors, GLBCRI aims to inspire students to take bold steps toward research, problem-solving, and enterprise creation.

The sessions witnessed active participation, thoughtful interactions, and a contagious enthusiasm among the students, demonstrating the impact such initiatives can have on nurturing future leaders.

GLBCRI continues to pave the way for academic excellence intertwined with innovation, supporting India’s vision of becoming a global hub for entrepreneurship and technological advancements.
