Greater Noida Police arrests three in connection with NPCL robbery case

Three criminals were arrested by Greater Noida police in connection with the robbery held at under construction power station of NPCL. During the robbery 5 Germany made transformers were stolen costing around 60 lacs on May 19.
Police had arrested the accused from Tilpata round about around 6:15 in the morning following a complaint made by a passenger who was assaulted while commuting in the auto driven by the accused. All the three accused have been identified as Manish Yadav living on a rented accommodation under kasna police station area, Akram living on a rented accomaodation under sector 49 police station Noida and Mir Tevra living on a rented accommodation under sector 24 police station Noida.
Police had recovered two transformers costing 26 lakhs, two .315 bore country made gun with three live cartridges, one knife and the auto used by the accused for transporting the transformer.
Ashish Srivastav SP Rural, GBN said that “Earlier we had arrested 6 accused in the same case and had recovered 3 transformer and other stuffs stolen during the robbery on may 19. Today we had arrested rest of the 3 absconding accused and had recovered 2 other transformers over the lead we got from earlier arrest”.
Further he said “all the three accused are notorious kind of criminals who work as auto drivers. But as they get chance they attempt loot with the passengers. They are mostly active on the route between sector 29 , 30 to sector 144. We are working over to make arrest of the scrappers involved in the crime.”
All of them will be sent to jail after being present in the court .
