High Density CCTV Cameras to be installed at 150 points in Gr Noida, says Police Commissioner at Mini Marathon

Photo Highlights of Mini Marathon in Greater NOIDA organised by Greater Noida Authority

Greater Noida, 19th Jan: Today, Greater Noida Authority in association with Bennett University organized a mini marathon as part of its 29th Foundation day celebrations.

The marathon started at 8.30 in the morning with hundreds of participants waiting zealously to warm their bodies in the cold weather by completing the 5.5km long marathon.

The carnival was graced by Greater Noida Authority CEO Narendra Bhushan, ACEO KK Gupta and the first Police Commissioner of GBN Alok Singh.

In his address, Narendra Bhushan acknowledged the President of Bennett University for coming up with the idea of city marathon.

While welcoming the police commissioner, he said, “Alok Singh has marked his name in history books by becoming the first police commissioner of GBN. He is a very smart and dynamic police commissioner. I would convey my best wishes to him for a successful term.”

He then went on to talk about the initiatives that Authority has come up with, like Friends of Greater Noida, CEO Forum and Carnivals to increase the participation of citizens in the development of Greater Noida.

In his address, KK Gupta welcomed the participants, Alok Singh, other police officers and media fraternity present at the venue.

In a highly anticipated first public address by Alok Singh in GBN, he assured that the police will stand on a same level with citizens in terms of happiness and smartness.

“We are planning a lot of initiatives to make the Police smarter. We have identified 150 points where high density CCTV Cameras will be installed.” Singh further said.

He also appealed citizens to download the “UP Cop” app where people can avail different services related to policing.

At the end while speaking about Traffic Police, he said, “450 Traffic Police constables are being recruited. Traffic management system will be launched soon to manage the traffic better.”

The Mini Marathon ended with prize distribution where the 1st prize was awarded to Renu Bohra, 23 in open female category whereas in open male category the 1st prize was awarded to Laxya Kashyap, 21

In women senior citizen category, the 1st prize went to Vanita Randhwa, 56 and in men senior citizen category the 1st prize went to Rajendra Kumar Yadav, 62.
