I.T.S College of Pharmacy organized Industry Expert & Alumni talk for B.Pharm 1st year students on 24th January 2026. The industrial expert session was organised to provide learners with practical perspectives, current industry trends, and career guidance, thereby enriching their academic and professional outlook. The alumni talk was to provide students with valuable insights drawn from the professional journeys, experiences, and expertise of our distinguished alumni. Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group, emphasised the importance of quality education, industry exposure, and skill development to prepare students for successful professional careers.
The program began with a welcome address delivered by Dr. S Sadish Kumar, Director, I.T.S College of Pharmacy, who greeted the Chief Administrator, faculty members, and students. He extended a warm welcome to the industry expert, Rishi Singh with applause. He informed the students that the experts would share their professional experience and insights about the pharmacy profession and the expectations of the pharmaceutical industry and market. He emphasized that the session would help students understand how to meet industrial demands and prepare for professional roles. He expressed gratitude to the event coordinators and concluded the address by handing over the session to the guest speaker.
Jitendra Shahrawat, Chief Administrator welcomed the guests on behalf of the college, faculty, and Director. He stated that the session would provide insights into International pharma trends and industry expectations. Acknowledging global competition, he expressed confidence in India’s future growth and concluded by inviting the guest to share his expertise.
Rishi Kumar Singh, Senior Manager – International Business, Biodeal Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Noida, delivered an expert talk on the “Future scope of the pharmacy profession”. He explained how pharmacy connects science with human life and offers global career opportunities. He highlighted that a pharmacy degree allows students to work in diverse fields across the world. He discussed the roles of pharmacists, pros and cons of the profession, and both traditional and modern career paths. Emerging areas such as pharmacovigilance, clinical research, regulatory affairs, medical writing, AI in pharma, biotechnology, and entrepreneurship were emphasized. He stressed the importance of strong basics, communication skills, continuous learning, and not limiting oneself. He described career growth as a journey from foundation building to becoming industry-ready. The session motivated students to adapt to change and prepare for professional success.
Dr. Iti Chauhan delivered the welcome address for the alumna, Promila Sharan, and warmly greeted her on behalf of the institution. Promila Sharan, Founder – Demira & PS Creative Contents, spoke about how a “Pharmacy degree leads to limitless career options beyond the classroom”. She emphasized that discipline, skills, knowledge, and attitude are key to success in today’s skill-focused professional world. She discussed both traditional and non-traditional career paths, including content creation, brand management, strategic advisory roles, and health policy. She encouraged students not to fear failure and to continuously upskill in areas like Excel, AI basics, writing, and business fundamentals. She also highlighted entrepreneurship opportunities in healthcare platforms, wellness brands, and training institutes. She advised students to focus on healthcare niche marketing and use the Indian startup ecosystem to grow professionally. The talk concluded with the importance of lifelong learning and adaptability.
The insightful addresses by esteemed speakers inspired students to uphold the ethics, dedication, and compassion that define this noble profession. Ms Nidhi Sharma, Assistant Professor, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed guests, faculty members, students, and organisers for their presence and contributions. She acknowledged the valuable insights shared by the invited speakers and appreciated the efforts of the coordinators and volunteers in making the event a grand success. She concluded by thanking everyone for their active participation and support, which added meaning and value to the celebration. The event was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Sagarika Majhi (Prof.), and Joint coordinators Manish Kumar (PDP Trainer), Sakshi (Asst. Prof.), and Nidhi (Asst. Prof.). The program concluded with group photography and the national anthem.
